Beggar

There stands a corner
And lays a hat
A dog at times
With beggars at bat…
And there comes the looks
And secret stares
Judging of course
Before no one cares…
But when begging is done
Under roof and key
Finds the acceptance
Some will see…
For no street is acceptable
Or attire to wear…
No mercy given
To unjust or unfair…
So many beggars
Some right and some wrong
Forgotten the playing field
Or how dark or long…
Yes to have judged
And been judged the same…
All while seeking forgiveness-
And been judged the same.
